Amika oh Amika

I am constantly asked what products I recommend. Whether it is for shampoo and conditioner or what I style my hair with. I tend to be a creature of habit and stick to what I am used to. I haven't branched out and tried out new products for a while. A couple years ago I was at a hair show in Las Vegas and I remembered a sample I got from a brand named Amika. I remember loving the colors of their packaging as well as the smell. I recently bought a bunch of their products to give a try. This is not an AD. This is my 100% true and honest opinion of the products I got. Here are just a few of the ones that I used today. I washed my hair with Vault Shampoo and Conditioner. I wash my hair every 3-5 Days. Yep, Every 3-5 Days. Both the Shampoo and Conditioner smell amazing. It is defiantly a unique smell that you likely won't find in other lines. I did have to shampoo my hair twice to really feel like it was clean. But as I mentioned I don't wash my hair as frequently as others. The conditioner was very concentrated. A little bit will go a long way. Before I dried my hair I sprayed in Brooklyn Bombshell from root to end all over. It was clearly light weight and also had an incredible smell. After my hair was blow dried it was soft and had volume. The true test for me is if products either weigh my hair down, make them greasy, or make me have fly aways. So far so good. I used my bed head waver to wave my hair and give it texture. After it was finished I used undone texture spray to add some texture to my waves. I finished with the Flexus touchable hairspray. I loved undone. It gave my hair volume and texture without weighing it down. Flexus hairspray was not my favorite light weight hairspray. I did not love the smell of it and I do not feel that it really changed the hold in my waves. It defiantly did not make it hard or sticky, but as I mentioned it didn't really do anything. Over all I have been pleased with the products I have tried from this line. The two I would be most likely to recommend would be Brooklyn Bombshell and Undone texture spray.
